Summer Camp

Summer camp Sessions

Session i:

June 16th-July 17th

Monday-Thursday 10-3 pm

$135/Week

Located: Union Park St. Paul Neighborhood

Our summer camps are a safe and joyful space where transgender and non-binary youth can grow, create and thrive. Each 5 week session invites campers ages 6-12 years old to connect with nature through gardening, develop skills in cooking and baking, and express themselves through art. Camp counselors identify as either transgender or non-binary themselves or part of the LGBTQIA+ community. Together, we’ll nurture roots of community and self-love while the kids bloom into their most authentic selves.

FAQ:

  • On rainy days, we will adjust our activities to keep everyone engaged and dry. We’ll move any outdoor activities indoors, such as cooking or baking in the commercial kitchen. If we had an outdoor field trip planned for the day, we may switch to an indoor field trip day. Our goal is to ensure a fun and educational experience regardless of the weather!

  • Yes, parents are always welcome to join in on activities if they’d like! While we don’t expect parents to stay and participate, we encourage family involvement whenever possible. If you’d like to help out or simply observe, feel free to join us during the scheduled activities.

  • The safety of your child is our top priority. All activities are supervised by camp staff and volunteers. For outdoor activities, we ensure the kids stay in safe, designated areas, and for cooking or baking activities, we follow strict kitchen safety protocols. Additionally, we will always have first aid supplies on hand, and all staff are trained in basic first aid and CPR.

  • Your child should pack a lunch each day. We also recommend that your child bring a water bottle, sunscreen, and appropriate clothing for outdoor activities. On days when they’ll be baking or cooking, we suggest wearing clothes that can get messy. If your child has any dietary restrictions, please let us know in advance so we can accommodate.

  • If you need to reach your child during camp hours, you can contact the camp director or a staff member directly via the provided contact information. We will ensure that any urgent messages are passed along to your child immediately.

  • Yes, field trips are part of our camp program and will take place every Thursday. These trips will be announced in advance so parents can be aware of the location and plan to drop off and pick up at the field trip location. Field trips are designed to be fun and educational, offering children the opportunity to explore nature, local museums, and other interesting spots in the area.

  • Yes, children are welcome to bring snacks if they need something extra between meals. We ask that snacks are nut-free to ensure the safety of all campers. Personal items, like toys or electronics, are generally not needed, but if your child wants to bring something for quiet time or a special activity, please label it clearly with their name and bring in a backpack.
